New Thread Quartet returns to CVM’s stage with a kaleidoscope of modern music for saxophone quartet by living composers. These unique compositions from the past 6 years range in inspiration from post World War II jazz in Europe to sunsets on the New Mexican landscape. Each work approaches the saxophone in a modern light, employing a variety of extended techniques to create a sound world unlike any other.
